The dahlias are supplemented with various other summer flowers including gladioli, lilies, zantedeschias, anemones and crocosmia for a complete summer mix.
Summer bulbs loose per variety
Want to buy summer bulbs by variety? We have beautiful varieties of dahlias in the webshop selected by colour, diversity and strength. Among them are dahlia Jowey Frambo, dahlia Arabian Night, dahlia Café au Lait, dahlia Blue Bayou and the dahlia Bishop of Llandaf. In addition, we offer other loose summer bulbs including: crocosmia, ranunculus, the lily of the valley and a pink canna. These can be ordered per five bags.
Ordering perennial summer bulbs
Most summer bulbs such as dahlias, gladioli and anemones are not perennials. We recommend removing these varieties from the ground after flowering. However, with a dry garden it is possible to make them perennial. We do have perennials in the assortment at Bloombol. Perennials grow bigger and bigger every year and you can leave them in the ground in winter. Summer perennials are: lilies, liatris, nerine, amarine, crocosmia and perennials such as echinacea, astilbe, iris, phlox and poppy.

Where can you order flower bulbs online?
You can easily order flower bulbs online at Bloombol. In autumn you should plant spring bulbs such as tulips, hyacinths and daffodils. That is why you can only order these bulbs from September to December. We always dispatch within two working days. So you'll quickly have a package full of colour at home. After this period, the spring bulbs can be ordered directly as pre-orders for the following year.
We also always have a selection of summer packages including dahlias, gladioli and lilies. Summer bulbs are planted in spring. They are therefore only available from March to May. Summer bulbs are also available for pre-order during the rest of the year.

Are there any bulbs that are perennial?
There are definitely perennial flower bulbs. Grape hyacinth (muscari), crocuses, snowdrops, some daffodils, botanical tulips and alliums are perennials. These bulbs may be left in the ground in winter after which they will reappear the following year. Most tulips need to be removed from the ground in summer, as they only flower for one year. The flowering information can always be found on the packaging.
