Blue lupins are not something you come across every day. The botanical name is: Lupins 'Gallery Blue'. They are special summer bloomers that fall under the category of perennials. In fact, lupins come back every year and are hardy to -25 degrees.
Planting instructions for a thriving garden
To plant blue lupin, find a spot with plenty of sunlight and well-drained, sandy soil. The more sunlight, the more beautiful the flowers will be. The soil may be on the acidic side, as lupins like this. However, a different type of soil doesn't matter either, the lupin is very easy. However, heavy clay soil should be avoided, as it causes water retention, which is harmful to the plant.
